Reflections for April 20

The service last week highlighted the importance of the resurrection which fills us with hope and assurance. We heard about the Gospel which brings us good news and a message about salvation to bring us peace. The Call to Worship said, “For you saved us, you raised us, and turned our lives around.” All of the songs gave us hope that we are forgiven and his mercy is more. We have sinned, but it is okay to move forward. Every time I walk in the sanctuary, I am still in awe looking at the trellis which illustrates how we can still keep growing every day. We can face tomorrow knowing God is with us. I loved what happened before we started singing the last song. Liz told us to get together and hold hands as we sang He Lives! The people around me were smiling and love was being shared among us as we held hands. What a great way to start the week knowing we have a church family with us and God loves us!
